This 4 stage system is designed to remove most impurities from your water.

WHAT IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT THIS RO?

Because it has 4 STAGES...

Stage 1: A 5-micron spun polypropylene replaceable (2"X10" nominal size standard) Cartridge to remove silt, iron or other particulate matter.

Stage 2: A carbon block replaceable (2"X10" nominal size standard) cartridge to further treat stage 2 water to complete the removal of any chlorine remaining as well as finish filtering the water prior to entry into the membrane.

Stage 3: A 70-gallon per day thin film composite (TFC) replaceable (2"X10" nominal size standard) membrane using stage 2 pre-filtered water at 80 PSI to physically screen out sodium, other microorganisms, and pathogenic bacteria (see "Disaffection" of water above.) The system reduces the total dissolved solids 96%, while increasing treated water delivered by over 60% in a given time span, resulting in a 2 - 4 hour storage tank fill rate with minimal waste water to drain (3.2-gallon tank holds about 2 gallons of water at 15-45 PSI.)

Stage 4: An in-line final carbon replaceable (2"X10" nominal size standard) GAC sealed filter module, which takes stage 3 tank stored water polishing it, maximizing clarity, color and taste prior to consumption.

WHAT IS THE EXPECTED SERVICE LIFE OF STAGE 1-4 REPLACEABLES?

The standard RO4S30 shipped, assumes that your source water is safe and potable. A drawn glass of water is assumed to be clear and does not settle out silt or discolor from iron, manganese, tannins, nitrates, and does not exhibit any "rotten egg" smell. If the above are met, stage 1,2, & 4 replacements should last one year and the stage 3 membrane should last two years. Premature failure of any stage (1-4) replaceable requires a comprehensive water test to determine what pre-treatment is required to achieve the expected "normal" service life.
